Whats your true style?

Do you ever think about what truly goes into the hairstyle that properly fits you? To be honest, it’s more than what you think. Some things you and your Barber must take into account when making a decision about your hair is the texture and features of your hair, your career, the products, the time you have to style your hair, and your face shape.
You may admire some of your friend’s cuts and styles or what is trending; but that may not be what’s best for you. If you see the picture of George Clooney, you will understand how one may think their look is fitting but from an outsiders perspective, it may actually do you a disservice. It is incredible how different ideas or visions can completely transform your image.
No matter if your hair is thin or thick, curly or straight, there’s a style out there that will make you look your best. You will know you found a great Barber when the consultation is thorough which will then make you feel confident in their expertise and opinion. Don’t be afraid to try something new or ask more questions because you might find that your best look may still be out there.

Bearding 101

To a woman, a man’s beard is entirely subjective. Like men in general, they come in all shapes, sizes and maturity-if you know what I mean.
If you have one, how you trim or groom it is entirely up to you.   One thing we should all know, however, is it should be well washed and void of food scraps. If you’ve never had your beard washed professionally, it isn’t as simple of a process as you would think and it should happen way more often than it does.
I realize this is limiting advice, but a beard should be treated as a fine work of art, subject to style and taste, and no one beard suits all. And if you are going to exercise your right to have a beard, there are a few things you need to know: The beard line should be below the jaw line underneath it a bit. Don’t sport the chinstrap anymore that is out. Use an aftershave so you can prevent any outbreaks or ingrown hairs. Last but not least, don’t leave your razor in the shower. It will rust quickly and the blade will go dull.

How To Be A Classic Gentleman

What does it take to be a modern Classic Gentleman? Learn from our supplier and partner, the masters of grooming: Truefitt + Hill:
You’ve found your perfect hairstyle, ordered a beautifully bespoke suit and completed the look with a dash of Truefitt’s own 1805 Cologne. But something’s missing.
Becoming a classic gentleman is harder than it looks, but worry not, for those seeking out timeless style, inspiration isn’t far away.
Over two centuries, Truefitt & Hill has served many of history’s most celebrated men – and each has a lesson or two for those of us keen to elevate our aesthetic and cultivate our presence. Let’s see what some of our greatest patrons have to offer on the topic of individual presentation.

Beau Brummell
The original dandy, Brummell blew his early 1800s fortune by becoming the best-dressed man in London. His meticulous morning routine was so famous that well-to-do locals (including the Prince of Wales) dropped by to see how it was done.

Lesson: It’s all about the details. Never forget to straighten your tie, line-up those cufflinks or give your waxed moustache an extra twizzle.

Oscar Wilde
The late 18th-century’s most stylish bon vivant dominated parties with his rapier-like wit. His still-quotable lines include: “Be yourself – everyone else is already taken” and “We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars.”

Lesson: From witty one-liners to clever ripostes, great men are brilliant conversationalists.

Fred Astaire
An idyllic combination of style, charm and seemingly effortless grace, Astaire’s twinkle-toed deportment made him a classic gent. Always humble, he explained his talent in these terms: “I just put my feet in the air and move them around.”

Lesson: Elegant-looking men need the dance moves to match: leave the house every morning as if you’re Puttin’ on the Ritz.

New Gentlemen’s Barbershop, Need We Say It’s Just for Men

Denver gentlemen of all ages can catch the grooming fever that is raging across the nation in a hot, new upscale barbershop dedicated just for them: Tribute Barbershop Lounge opens in the heart of the Denver Tech Center, May 15.
What sets Tribute apart from other ‘man’ salons is the quality of the service offering. For example, Tribute offers $35 precision cuts by highly-experienced service professionals which include a complimentary adult beverage, a deep cleansing shampoo and a pampering scalp, neck and shoulder massage.
Tribute offers a full grooming service menu: traditional English open- and safety-razor face shaves, beard trims, massages, waxing, young gentleman cuts, shoe shines and hair color. All services are designed with sophisticated, busy men in mind — appointments are efficient with cuts and most grooming services running about 30-45 minutes; safety razor shaves can be done within a brisk 15-20 minutes. Clients can book and manage reservations online, too, for optimal efficiency.
Tribute is backed by two faces very familiar to the Denver market: Nick Anderson, owner of Antoine du Chez, and Mike Clinton, co-founder of GolfTEC, which from its headquarters in Centennial now operates over 200 locations globally. Nick Anderson acquired Antoine du Chez in 2008 and has since found a passion for the beauty industry. Through his time there, Nick believed there was a void in Colorado in offering men the same sort of pampering and grooming services that women experienced but they needed an environment where they felt comfortable as if they were at their country club.
“We’ve learned that there’s a huge number of men who fear what happens when they walk away from a budget salon, yet don’t feel entirely at ease in full-service day spas that are usually geared toward women,” says Nick.
“We know that men want efficiency. They want to come in at a scheduled time, get a great cut by a well-trained, seasoned professional stylist, and relax…grab a beer, get a neck massage, pay a fair price, and leave feeling well-groomed,” says Mike.
“We like to say that men don’t spa…men groom,” adds Mike.
Together, Mike Clinton and Nick Anderson assembled a team to acquire the Priority Male Barbershop to then roll out the first of several planned Tribute locations.
Tribute is a one-stop shop for all of a man’s grooming needs, whether he wants a cut, some color to blend those greys, shaves and beard trims, hair removal, massage or manicures. Packages are offered that bundle the most popular, complementary services. All services are designed to pamper men and at a sensible cost.
The Tribute team includes licensed barbers who represent over 150+ years’ of industry experience. They serve clients in the brand new 1,900 sq ft space with 11 service stations, a private therapy room, and the men’s lounge which stocks the requisite cold beverages and snacks.
This first Tribute Barbershop Lounge is located in the prime Denver Tech Center location 8000 E. Belleview, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Hours are 8 to 8. Call for appointments or book directly online at tributebarbers.com.
As enticement to try them out, Tribute is offering an incredible 2 for 1 deal through June 15. Buy one $35 haircut service, your 2nd one is complimentary (and can be redeemed until 12/31/2017). Some restrictions apply so see details online or in the barbershop.
